November Color Challenge and DT Call

Hello , welcome to our color challenge for November,

Before we get to the challenge, you'll have noticed from the title that we're looking for a few new members to join the team in 2016.  We have a rota of challenges each month:

• Week 3 - Theme/Recipe
• Week 4 - Stash/Technique
• Week 5 - Pick a Previous (the host gets to pick)

If you wish to be considered you need to play along with THREE of the four challenges this month. Put the letters, DT, after your name on your entry submission.  We will contact successful applicants during December and the new DT members will start with us in January 2016.

Now, back to our regular post - the colour challenge:

December Two Week Challenge

Hi, friends!  Since Christmas is coming and we're all getting busy, we've decided to just have ONE two week challenge here at 52 CCT to end our crafting year!  Our challenge for the next two weeks is ANY PAST 2013 CHALLENGE GOES!  So, choose your favorite and link up with us!  Winners will be announced hopefully before Christmas, but if not, they'll be added to the first post of the New Year!

One more thing before we show you the DT inspiration--we're looking for a few new crafters to join us!  If you are interested in being on our DT, please add "DT" to the end of your name when you enter!  We will let you know if you've been chosen by December 30th, 2013 and your term will start in February of 2014.  GOOD LUCK to all those who enter!

January Technique Challenge

Hello again friends, thanks to everyone who shared their lovely cards with us last week!  It's time for another new type of challenge, we'll be having embellishment OR technique weeks.  This week it's a technique we want to see and the technique is Triple Time Stamping.  This is such a great technique, it's simple but has the wow factor!  Dawn Olchefske produced a great video tutorial for this technique which you can find here.  Can't wait to see what you come up with!

January Theme/Recipe Challenge

Hello friends, thank you to everyone who joined us last week, we loved seeing your purple, silver & white cards!  We've updated our challenges for 2013, we'll be having theme OR recipe challenge weeks.  This week it's a recipe challenge - a Ruth recipe in fact!

The recipe ingredients are:

* patterned paper

* glitter

* and you must decorate the INSIDE of your card as well as the card front.
Told you it was a Ruth recipe!

January Colour Challenge

This week it's a colour challenge.  We'd like to see purple, metallic silver and white on your cards - this is one of my favourite colour combos for Christmas!

January Sketch Challenge - Plus Design Team Call

Hello friends, welcome to another year of Christmas card challenges from us at 52 {C}CT and a happy new year to you all!  Hope you all had a very happy festive season!  It's Ruth here and I'm hosting the challenges in January.  I think I've been very kind and am breaking you in to 2013 quite gently with a nice and easy sketch layout!  Feel free to rotate or flip the sketch and substitute the rectangle shape - please just make sure we can recognise the layout in your card!

A brand new year is exciting enough - but there's more - we have revamped our challenges for 2013!  We will still have sketch and colour combo challenges but we've decided to make the theme weeks theme OR recipe challenges and the embellishment weeks will be embellishment OR technique challenges.  That's more variety and scope for you - and us!  

And that's not all - to add to the excitement we are having a Design Team call throughout January!  If you would like to apply for a spot on the team please make a card for EVERY January challenge and ensure you add DT after your name when you link up your cards for the challenges - thank you!
