I'm Gill, and I’m thrilled to host this week’s challenge—a Sparkle Theme Challenge that’s perfect for adding a bit of holiday magic to your projects! Our talented Design Team has been hard at work, crafting cards filled with shimmer, shine, and sparkle to help ignite your creativity. Now, it’s your turn to dazzle us with your creations!

November’s Sparkle Theme Challenge:

This week, it’s all about sparkle! There’s no better time to embrace a bit of glitter and glamour than during the festive season, so grab your sparkliest supplies. From glittery embossing powders and foiled details to shimmering inks and metallic accents, there are endless ways to bring a bit of sparkle to your cards. The theme is completely flexible—whether you’re making a simple, elegant card with a touch of shimmer or a bold design full of glitz, it’s all about making your creations shine.

Get Creative with Sparkle!

We hope you’ll have fun experimenting with all things sparkly. Maybe you’ll use a dash of glitter on a snowflake die-cut, add foiled details to a festive wreath, or layer up some sparkly cardstock for extra texture. Don’t be afraid to mix and match your materials—think sequins, rhinestones, glitter cardstock, or metallic foils! The goal is to create a card that catches the light and adds a bit of joy to the holiday season.

Inspiration from our Designers

To help get those creative ideas flowing, our brilliant Design Team has put together some stunning examples that showcase just how versatile sparkle can be. From sophisticated cards with subtle shimmer to fun, glitter-filled creations, the team has explored all kinds of techniques and styles. With Christmas just around the corner, there’s no better time to get creative and make those festive cards! Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just getting started, we hope you’ll join us and share your wonderful creations.

At 52CCT, we’ve been celebrating Christmas all year long, thanks to the amazing ladies on our Design Team. They’ve been hard at work, bringing you inspiration week after week with beautiful, Christmas-themed cards to help get you into the festive spirit. Now, as we kick off November, we’re looking forward to seeing what you come up with for your seasonal cards.

November’s First Challenge: Sketch Week!

As always, the first challenge of the month is a sketch challenge! This is a great way to jump-start your creativity. You can follow the provided layout as closely as you like, or get a bit playful with it. Whether you flip the sketch, stretch it to fit a different size, or swap out the shapes, we just ask that the basic design of the sketch remains visible in your card.

Sketch challenges are a fantastic opportunity to make a design your own while still following a structured template. You can experiment with different colours, patterns, and embellishments to create something truly unique—and we can’t wait to see how you interpret the sketch!

Our guest designer for this week is
