November Colour Challenge

Welcome to Week Two of November's 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge!

Hello, crafty friends, and welcome back to another week at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown! We’re well into November, which means Christmas is fast approaching, and your handmade card collection should be growing nicely. If you’re looking for more festive inspiration, you’re in the right place!

I’m Gill, and I’m excited to host this week’s challenge—a fun Colour Challenge! The ladies on the Design Team have been hard at work, crafting beautiful cards to help spark your creativity, and now it’s your turn to dive in and create something special.

November’s Colour Challenge:

This week, we’re focusing on a twist of the classic Christmas colour combination: pink, fresh green and white. These colours complement each other beautifully and can be used in all kinds of designs—whether you prefer sleek, modern styles or something a little more traditional. From wreaths and holly to bold graphic patterns, the possibilities with this palette are endless.

Get Creative with Colour!

I hope you’ll enjoy working with these festive colours. Whether you go for a simple, clean look or layer up with plenty of details, we can’t wait to see how you incorporate these shades into your cards. Feel free to add metallics, neutrals, or textures to make your design pop. This is your chance to get creative and play with colour in your own unique way.

Inspiration from our Designers

To help get you started, our talented Design Team has put together some stunning examples that showcase how fresh green and rich red can be used in different ways. Whether it’s intricate die-cut elements, fun stamping techniques, or clever layouts, the team has lots of ideas for you to explore.

November Sketch Challenge

Hello, and welcome to a brand-new month at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown! I’m Gill, and I’m excited to be setting the challenges for November. With Christmas just around the corner, there’s no better time to get creative and make those festive cards! Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just getting started, we hope you’ll join us and share your wonderful creations.

At 52CCT, we’ve been celebrating Christmas all year long, thanks to the amazing ladies on our Design Team. They’ve been hard at work, bringing you inspiration week after week with beautiful, Christmas-themed cards to help get you into the festive spirit. Now, as we kick off November, we’re looking forward to seeing what you come up with for your seasonal cards.

November’s First Challenge: Sketch Week!

As always, the first challenge of the month is a sketch challenge! This is a great way to jump-start your creativity. You can follow the provided layout as closely as you like, or get a bit playful with it. Whether you flip the sketch, stretch it to fit a different size, or swap out the shapes, we just ask that the basic design of the sketch remains visible in your card.

Sketch challenges are a fantastic opportunity to make a design your own while still following a structured template. You can experiment with different colours, patterns, and embellishments to create something truly unique—and we can’t wait to see how you interpret the sketch!
