Hello, lovely crafters, and welcome to our last challenge of November at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown! With Christmas fast approaching, it’s the perfect time to get those final festive cards ready. So let’s dive into one last stash-busting challenge for this month that will give your holiday cards that special, handmade touch.

I’m Gill, and I’m delighted to host this week’s challenge—a Stash Theme Challenge featuring one of my all-time favourite embellishments: ribbon! Our talented Design Team has been busy creating cards that showcase the many ways ribbon can add texture, colour, and charm to any design, and now it’s your turn to take up the challenge.

November’s Stash Challenge: Ribbon

This week, we’re inviting you to dig into your ribbon stash and make it the star of your card! Ribbon is such a versatile embellishment and can be used in so many different ways—from adding a delicate bow to creating bold, layered borders. Whether you prefer satin, grosgrain, lace, or even sparkly trims, there are endless ways to make ribbon shine. This is the perfect opportunity to put all those little snippets and spools to good use!

Get Creative with Ribbon!

We hope you’ll enjoy experimenting with all the possibilities ribbon offers. Perhaps you’ll add a classic bow for a touch of elegance, create a layered effect by weaving or pleating, or use ribbon to frame a festive sentiment. For a modern look, try adding ribbon tabs or stitching it directly onto your card base. And remember, you can play with all kinds of textures and colours to match the style you love!
