Winners - February Theme challenge

The CCT Design Team enjoyed seeing the cards our challenge participants created for our February theme of festive drinks!  After much thought, we've chosen the following entries as our winners:

February - Technique

Hello all! This time at Christmas Card Throwdown we're offering up a technique challenge for you to try: Sunburst backgrounds.  Some people call them Starburst backgrounds. No matter which name you use for it, it's a great opportunity to use up some of your stash of designer papers!


Here's some inspiration from the Design Team:





As you can see from the Design Team's samples, there are several different ways to create the sunburst background.  Here's a link to one written tutorial: Starburst Tutorial    You can also find videos on YouTube.

January Colours - Winners

Hello! Our January colours were not your typical Christmas colours - we picked CREAM, AQUA AND BROWN - but you guys really rocked the challenge. So many gorgeous cards in so many different styles. As always, it was tough picking our winners, but here they are:

Lovely embossed detail, great Scandinavian style dies.
Wonderful use of the colours for the inlaid dies technique. Fabulous!

Love the reindeer die! Nice use of the colours.

This is full of shabby chic! Love the die cut background and those sweet skates.
